Visiting cards: choosing paper, finish and what to print
Matte or gloss, single or double-sided, and the details every business card should have.
A visiting card is often the first thing someone keeps from you. A few choices make the difference between a card that feels cheap and one that gets noticed.
What to include
- Name and role
- Business name and logo
- Mobile number (and whether it is on WhatsApp)
- Email, website or Instagram handle
- Address, if customers visit you
Paper weight
Thicker card feels more premium. Paper weight is measured in GSM: everyday cards are often around 300 GSM, while thicker premium stocks go higher. Ask us to show you samples in the shop.
Matte or gloss?
- Matte: soft, elegant, easy to write on, shows fewer fingerprints.
- Gloss: richer colours and a shine that suits photos and bold designs.
Single or double-sided?
Double-sided printing gives you room for a clean logo on one side and details on the other, or for a QR code that links to your WhatsApp, menu or catalogue.
